The story so far

Ghost Town in the Sky opened in Maggie Valley, North Carolina, in 1961. Visitors rode an incline railway or a chairlift up Buck Mountain to a Western town with staged gunfights on Main Street.[1][2] It became one of the most popular attractions in Western North Carolina, then spent most of the 2000s and 2010s closing, changing hands and trying to reopen.[1][2]
